Find out what we're working on

Everything we do is guided by what people tell us about their experiences, concerns and ideas on health and social care.

If it matters to you, it's likely that it matters to someone else too.

We need your help

Every year, we focus on specific issues we have heard are affecting you and your family in Barnsley.  Some themes that have emerged from our insights and engagement with the public include:

  • Women's Issues
  • Social Isolation
  • How access to healthcare will be affected by the new benefit cuts
  • and many more!

We are now asking for your help to complete our short survey and select what you feel is the most important. The survey will be available until 30th April 2025 at 12 noon.

As one of our priorities for 2024/25, we've been working on a document about access to care.  This document will tell you who you can access at your local GP practice and how to get the best service.  There is also useful information about your local hospital and emergency service team..
